Scope
This privacy policy explains how the current iOS version of Siloz handles your data. Siloz is an offline-first sleep sound recording and personal trend observation tool. The current version does not require registration or login, does not upload recordings or analysis data to developer servers, does not include third-party analytics SDKs, and does not perform advertising tracking.
If future versions add network services, accounts, subscriptions, customer support, crash reporting, or third-party SDKs, we will update the disclosure in the relevant version.
Data Processed On Device
To provide sleep sound recording, review, and on-device recognition features, Siloz processes and stores the following data on your device:
- Microphone recordings, sound clips, local sound recognition results, daily reports and trends, snore scores, and decibel information.
- Night tags, morning reminder time, recording quality preference, recording retention setting, favorite state, and false-detection correction records.
- Sound profile, app lock setting, privacy playback setting, and local preference data used to restore app settings.
This data is used for local recording, local analysis, local display, false-detection filtering, sound-profile assisted recognition, and settings recovery.
Data We Do Not Collect
The current version does not collect or send your recordings, sound profiles, sleep reports, tags, device location, contacts, photos, account information, or advertising identifiers to the developer. The current version does not use third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or tracking SDKs.
Permissions and System Capabilities
Microphone permission is used to record sleep and bedroom sounds for on-device analysis. Background audio capability is used to continue recording at night after you allow recording. Face ID, Touch ID, or the system passcode is used only for the local app lock. Authentication is handled by the system, and Siloz does not receive your biometric information.
Before recording, you must confirm that people nearby who may be recorded have been informed and have agreed to the recording, and you must follow the laws and rules that apply to recording, privacy, and shared living spaces in your location.
Retention, Deletion, and Export
You can choose to keep local recordings for 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 30 days, or manually. After the selected retention period passes, Siloz will clean up expired original audio when feasible. You can also clear local recordings or reset local data at any time in “Privacy & Safety” inside the app.
Deletion is performed on a best-effort basis within the files the app can access. Copies that already exist in device or system backups may not be affected by deletion inside the app. The current version does not provide account-based cloud sync or cloud backup.
Security Measures and Limits
Siloz relies on the iOS app sandbox, system file protection, app lock, and local cleanup capabilities to protect data. Please set a secure device passcode and carefully manage device backups, shared devices, system permissions, and third-party file access.
No local security measure can guarantee absolute security. If your device is controlled by someone else, backed up, jailbroken, affected by malware, or if you actively share files, your data may be accessed.
Children, Changes, and Contact
Siloz is not directed to children and should not be used by minors without guardian consent. We may update this policy when required by product changes, compliance needs, or safety considerations.
To contact the developer, please use the developer contact information provided on the App Store product page. Before release, the App Store privacy form should stay consistent with the actual version.
Siloz recognition results, decibels, snore scores, heavy snore clips, trends, and tag comparisons are for personal records and review only. They are not medical diagnosis, treatment advice, or disease-risk assessment.
